This precious little bundle, Jasmine, called in for her first family portrait on Saturday. What a privilege it was too…. We produced a selection of priceless newborn images. Images to treasure for a lifetime. 🙂
Jasmine was 10 days old when she had this beautiful selection of images taken at Ian Robinson Photography. As Jasmine was ten days premature, this was to be her original birthday! 🙂
Anthony and Toni, Jasmin’s parents wanted natural looking images, without any props to distract the eye. After thought, I realised that Dad holding Jasmine would be the perfect solution to what they were looking for.
We ensured that the studio was lovely and warm, in preparation for what we had in mind. Mum made sure Jasmine was content and settled and so we began.
We allow plenty of time for these shoots as we really do need a sleepy, settled baby.
To light these we used tungsten light through a soft box. To use flash just wouldn’t have worked, as it would have unsettled our little baba and this just wouldn’t have worked.
Once Dad had Jasmine into position, with the help of Mummy, we were ready to shoot.
As with anything, good preparation and planning helps so much. We knew the images we wanted. We knew how we wanted to light it. It was a case now of settling Jasmine, which wasn’t too difficult, then we were ready to go!
A little manouvering of the hands afrom Dad and we were done. Acheiving a fantastic, memorable set of images. Indeed, images to treasure.
We arranged the viewing within a couple of days of the shoot. Mummy and Daddy were absolutely overjoyed! As were we too.
Baby’s grow so quickly, so you really do need to seize the moment with this style of portrait.
