Oulton Hall, Leeds – Wedding of Jamie and Danielle

What an amazing day with Danielle and Jamie at Oulton Hall’s 18th Century Mansion. Impressive venue, with stunning grounds to capture their special day. Having photographed Danielle’s brothers wedding a year earlier, I was again entrusted to unleash my creative side, without too many questions being asked… and what stunning results we attained too. Oulton Hall is such a stunnng venue. Along with the guidance of Adele of ‘Creative Catering’, a thank you must also go to Jamies best man for his help and assistance. Thanks guys! 🙂

Piccadilly Hotel, Manchester – Wedding of Elise and Lloyd.

It was a privilege to be asked to photograph Elise’s Wedding Day on the recommendation of a previous wedding we covered for the family only 12 months earlier.

Elise and Lloyd wanted something different from traditional Wedding Photography and my aim was to capture some informal, fun images in the heart of Manchester City Centre at the fantastic venue The Piccadilly Hotel.

Being a large Jewish Wedding and having the advantage of a second photographer, this enabled us to cover both the Bride and Groom simultaneously, helping the day flow seamlessly and most importantly capturing those amazing, unexpected, informal fun shots that Elise and Lloyd were overjoyed with, something different, something unique. What fun we had in the heart of Manchester.

Thank you both for choosing Ian Robinson Photography, it was a pleasure to share this relaxed and most memorable day with you and your families.

Nunsmere Hall, Cheshire – Wedding of Jessica and Jamie

Nunsmere Hall, right in the heart of rural Cheshire, a stunning venue for a summer Wedding.
Jessica and Jamie decided to leave the style of photography to us. Again a large Jewish Wedding requiring a two camera coverage and we were blessed with perfect weather. From the outset everything went to perfection, planned by Julia Cowper Wedding Planner, the day ran smoothly, creating a relaxed atmosphere topped with a lovely warm group of guests, it was a pleasure to capture this throughout the day and evening. WOW! Did they know how to party.

A real fairytale wedding, with such attention to detail, most certainly a day to remember!

The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Lancashire – The Wedding of Debbie and Ben

I have to say that we are very lucky, to be trusted to undertake the photography for this wedding. From our initial meeting, we all just hit it off, parent’s and all! After discussing and understanding what Debbie and Ben would like from their photography coverage, they decided to choose to have the two camera coverage. Jason taking care of Ben and the boys in his own, unique informal way whilst creating some amazing relaxed images, with some classic reportage to boot, well done Jason! Debbie was an angel, nothing being a problem to her and as you will see, we did push the boundaries a little too! It was such a warm feeling to meet so many past clients too. 

Manchester Town Hall, Manchester – The Wedding of Gemma and Nick.

Manchester Town Hall really is a grand building of such immense beauty and stature. Gemma and bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and were a pleasure to photograph. With Jason photographing Nick and the boy’s, we were always onto a winner and of course we captured a stunning Winter Wedding, perfectly.

Albert Square, Central Library and the Manchester Town Hall itself made for some stunning backdrops and a truly beautiful wedding coverage.

The Marriott, Worsley Park, Manchester – The Wedding of Victoria and Ben.

Thank you to Victoria and Ben for their enthusiasm towards my vision of achieving such beautiful images, particularly the sunset shot.

I sensed that Victoria and Ben were ‘open’ to try something a little different. Although a somewhat traditional coverage, I wanted to take advantage of the ensuing sunset, and also to bring some movement into the coverage, this producing one of my favourite shots of the year.

Aided by their best man, off we set onto the golf course, with camera and ring flash to hand. Okay guys, throw that dress and jacket, then kiss  …. Sorry guys, nearly, if we could just try that again… and again… and again, sorry and again, just one more time?…. Then sixth time lucky!… we did it! Well done guys 

The Hilton Deansgate, Manchester – Wedding of Jaymie and Robert.

What a stunning chuppah and wedding this was. Again a large Jewish Wedding in the Manchester City Centre. Upon arrival, Jason covered the boys, eventually wrestling them away from the football and their beloved Tottenham Hotspur, while I undertook the preparation shots of Jaymie. We had a real giggle and Jaymie you were such an engaging bride too, quite happy to try something different. At sundown, between the dancing, we even managed to capture some shots in Cloud 23… and boy, could this London crowd party!

Birmingham Town Hall – Wedding of Charlotte and Daniel.

Charlotte and Daniel were recommended to us by Ben Morrison of ‘We Are Events’ who’s wedding we had photographed a year earlier at the Hilton Suite, Prestwich. My first wedding at Birmingham Town Hall and I most certainly hope it isn’t the last, as I just loved this venue and the surrounding areas. Although a somewhat breezy March day, Charlotte and Daniel were open minded enough to brave the elements and I’m so glad that they did… I feel we have a real eyrie mood to some of these images and I just loved the photographic coverage we achieved! It’s great when a plan comes together and Charlotte and Daniel can take away some amazing images that are unique only to them.

St.George’s Hall, Liverpool – Wedding of Odette and Daniel

A beautiful wedding with a stunning backdrop of Princes Road Shul, The Albert Dock waterfront and St.George’s Hall too. Three amazing locations for a most beautiful and tasteful wedding. We had some fun on the front and as ever, the sun ALWAYS shines in Liverpool!

The Last Drop Village, Lancashire – The Wedding of Tammy and Steve.

A recommendation from a wedding ten years earlier, Steve’s sister, it’s always reassuring that your clients remember you too.

Tammy called into the studio a week prior to the wedding, along with a portfolio of images for me to emulate, a daunting prospect for any photographer, a bride armed with a catalogue of images. I’m so glad that she did though, as we captured a truly stunning selection of images. Although stunning, they were somewhat static and I wanted to bring flow and movement into my shots.

Tammy and Steve really did brave the elements here, it was a cold, snowy early January day and I’m so glad that you both did, you were such a sport, and a massive thank you! 
